Enclosures are modeled and simulations are run to verify enclosure performance. Chassis are designed to operate at the highest possible level with an emphasis on performance and high reliability.
Special attention is placed on thermal management at all levels. Thermal management originating at the PCB must be efficiently managed by the enclosure. The use of high-performance wedge locks installed on these boards is accommodated by our ATRs when the need for improved thermal performance is a must and extreme vibration conditions exist.
System integration can be complex and implemented at multiple levels. However, a top-down comprehensive approach must always be taken to produce a fully functional system. CAAMDesk considers all aspects of the system to be important, including component selection, the embedded processing system, the power supply, the cooling subsystem, and the operating software. Our expert approach is to understand each Customer’s application with the objective of providing a system-level validation process starting with the hardware through to the software installation.
Should our Customers prefer to integrate their end-user products, we will ask the customer to supply their products to us cooperatively in support of developing a functional prototype. A fit check is also performed to ensure a comprehensive configuration is delivered. Thereafter, the choice to integrate is customer-specific. We will support any level of product integration that will be required.
CAAMDesk enclosures are designed to provide high-reliability and are often subjected to extremely harsh environments such as shock and vibration, high altitudes, extreme temperature ranges, EMI/RFI, HEMP, nuclear/chemical survivability, salt, fog, humidity, water, sand/dust and explosive atmosphere. Optional certification and functional testing can be performed by the Customer or by NIS when appropriate.
